About this listing

Also at Aros yn Pentre Glas: Y Caban Bach (sleeps 2)

Nestled within the foothills of the Preseli mountains and the famous Pembrokeshire Coast National Park in West Wales is ‘Aros yn Pentre Glas’, our lovely property which offers a unique getaway for our guests.

Here is ‘Y Panorama’, a lovingly converted Bedford Plaxton Panorama bus from 1968 with its very own roof, porch, outdoor area and superb view for you to enjoy. We are aiming to provide a low impact setup which is why we have a compost toilet and provide you with non-chemical products.

Inside our lovely bus you’ll find electric, hot water, a wood burner, gas double hob, a fridge and plenty of kitchen essentials. We do provide some ground coffee, tea, sugar, salt and pepper and olive oil for our guests, you will need to self-cater for anything else. There is an info folder with suggestions and recommendations of places to eat and things to do (although this may be limited during the current situation) as well as some local history. It’s an open plan space with ample seating for up to four people, one double bed and a large futon sofa bed which could sleep two adults at a push, two children comfortably. All bedding and towels are provided (if you would like to bring your own please let us know). There is a small electric heater for those colder nights, although wood is supplied for the stove. Any donations towards wood/coal will be greatly appreciated. It has been very carefully restored and is completely bespoke with no walls or panels or sections the same as any other, therefore we really appreciate it being loved and respected by using the porch for shoes and being careful with the skylights when opening them as they are quite delicate!

We have plenty of outdoor space and within just a few minutes you can be exploring the Preseli mountain pathways, standing stones and the source of the famous ‘Bluestones’ of Stonehenge. Immerse yourself in the surrounding nature whilst Red Kites and buzzards soar above you and Stonechats call from the tops of Gorse bushes.

If you want to play games we have an old cow shed with a covered area which includes a pool table and a table tennis table, as well as a great chill out area…this is the only shared area with guests staying in our other rental but it’s open plan and spacious.

*PLEASE NOTE- the games tables are only available during the warmer, dryer months.
You have a private area outside the bus which includes a fire pit with log seats, a bbq and a table and chairs around the back of the bus.

Guest access
As you arrive you will see a private parking space on the left, signposted ‘Y Panorama parking’. The whole area with the old cow shed is for guests who are staying with us.
We also have a lovely wild garden area which leads over a bridge into the top of our field where you can sit and enjoy the view and the birdsong.

Other things to note
We have a new space called the Yoga Shed (Y Sied Ioga)

* If you would like to practise some yoga or meditation, we are more than happy for you to make use of the yoga shed just please let us know because we are using it regularly so we can work around you and you stay!

** If you are interested in private Yoga or Kinesiology sessions we are able to run these from the Yoga Shed following government guidelines, please message for more info.

  • This place is so amazing! A lovely secluded retreat with all the benefits of being close to nature but also some comforts and warmth. The bus is beautiful and furnished with everything you could need, and Gilly/Alice are lovely hosts – great communication before visiting, really helpful and even made us flapjacks! Couldn’t recommend more highly.

  • Fantastic bus to stay in. Had all the amenities you need. Great walks straight out of the door. Its lovely and cosy once you get the fire going. Great for a self catered break in beautiful Pembrokeshire and close to the coastal path by car. Alice and Gilly were fabulously kind hosts. Would definitely recommend a stay if you want peace and quiet in a very cool converted bus. I would love to return again in the future.
