About this listing

Also at Aros yn Pentre Glas: Y Panorama (sleeps 4)

Y Caban Bach (The Little Cabin)

Nestled within the foothills of the Preseli mountains and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park in West Wales is ‘Aros yn Pentre Glas’, our lovely property which offers a wonderful, relaxing experience for guests.
Inside you have power, a double bed and a small table with two chairs. All necessary bedding and towels are provided. There’s also an electric heater to keep it cosy.

You have a compost toilet situated just behind the Caban which is kept clean and tidy and maintained as best as is possible but we understand that this isn’t for everyone, so please don’t book if this isn’t for you..
The kitchenette is just outside Y Caban bach and is well equipped with all the essentials you should need to cook up a storm including –
* A gas oven with 4 hobs and a grill
* A gas kettle
* A small fridge
* A large cool box for extra chilling (we provide ice blocks for this)

We provide –
* Some ground coffee, tea, sugar and Olive oil.
You will need to self-cater for anything else. The water is spring fed and is wonderful, you will need to fetch water from the tap outside the shower block to use in the kitchen (it’s very close by). Around the Caban bach is an open yard area, we have a BBQ available to use and plenty of seating. This is for your private use.
There is a wooden shower block with two separate shower rooms containing gas powered hot showers and wash basins with hot water. You will have the use of one of the cubicles during your stay. We provide non chemical washing products which help to keep this project as low impact as we can, we kindly ask that you use them wherever possible.

Within just a few minutes you could be exploring the wonderful Preseli mountain pathways, standing stones and the source of the famous ‘Bluestones’ of Stonehenge. Immerse yourself in the surrounding nature whilst Red Kites and buzzards soar above and Stonechats call from the tops of the Gorse bushes.
If you want to play games we have an old cow shed with a covered area which includes a pool table and a table tennis table, as well as a great chill out area…this is the only shared area with guests staying in our other rental but it’s open plan and spacious.
*PLEASE NOTE – the games tables are only available in the warmer, dryer months.

Guest access
As you arrive and drive up the concrete slope you will see a private parking area ahead and to the left, signposted ‘Y Caban Bach parking’. The whole area including the old cow shed is strictly for our guests and is mostly private except for Gilly who will need to water the plants and the occasional walker/horse rider on the public footpath. We also have a lovely wild garden area which leads over a bridge into our field where you can sit and enjoy the view and relax to your hearts content!

Other things to note
We have a new space called the Yoga Shed (Y Sied Ioga)
If you would like to practise some yoga or meditation, we are more than happy for you to make use of the yoga shed just please let us know because we are using it regularly so we can work around you and your stay!

** If you are interested in booking a private Yoga or Kinesiology session during your stay, we are able to do this from our yoga shed, following government guidelines of course. Please message for more info.

  • The cabin is a truly wonderful place, the guys that run the land have real positive eco aspirations, making you feel like you can still do good whilst on holiday. The cabin and kitchen were spotless and full of great little extras really making the space even more wonderful!

  • This is a little gem of a place hidden in the woolly wides of North Pembrokeshire. The cabin is so comfortable and cosy- it’s superb insulation makes it really warm and sheltered from the elements even in the cold weather. There are some lovely little touches including a mini bottle of prosecco on arrival and a gorgeous home cooked flap jack. I love the picturesque views from the cabin straight out the the old quarry on the hill. I proper place to relax and unwind. I couldn’t recommend it more highly
