Three Gables is in the centre of the village of Newbridge in a small rural village in the west of the Isle of Wight. Stay with us and wake up to panoramic views stretching across the countryside accompanied by birdsong.

We are at the end of a private drive with plenty of room for parking 4 or more cars. The house sleeps 10 adults in five bedrooms with 4 bathrooms (2 of which are ensuite) 2 of the bedrooms are down stairs making it ideal for those who find stairs difficult.  There is also a toddler bed and 2 cots available. We are pet friendly (max 3 dogs) with a secure garden. The house is very spacious with a dinning table  and seating for 10 in the bespoke kitchen and plenty of room for all to relax in the lounge. There is free wifi throughout the house.

It is the perfect base for large groups of friends and large families wishing to spend time together and enjoy a relaxing short break or holiday at any time of the year with the micro climate of the island giving weather that is often better than elsewhere in the UK. Three Gables is also well equipped for up to three extra young children:

With a toddler bed (max age 4), and 2 x travel cots (max age 2). There are 2 high chairs a baby bath and potty, 2 stair-gates and safety lights in the halls. Table football for hours of fun, lots of board games and puzzles and a big cupboard of DVDs to entertain. We also have plenty of bats and balls, and fun games for you all outside, the garden is fenced all round so open the French doors and they can play outside while you sit on the veranda and watch the fun.

Patio doors and large windows give a light and airy feel to the house while good insulation and central heating make Three Gables warm and cosy in the colder months and solar panels provide the hot water in the warmer months.

There is a shop two minutes walk away (open March to November) a village shop 1.5 miles in Shalfleet open all year, three pubs within a  two mile walk. The bus stop is less than 50 m from the drive.

The nearest beach Brook is only three miles another 1/2 mile further and to come to award winning Compton beach.

There are easy drives to local towns for shopping and the many tourist attractions around the island. The county town of Newport is only six miles away and historic Yarmouth is three miles away.

We are an ideal locations for all the island, close to foot paths and cycle ways, beaches and towns

Accessibility:

The property is not adapted for wheelchairs but is suitable for people with restricted mobility

Access to the property includes a step into the house. On the ground floor is an en suite bedroom (double), the kitchen, lounge, bedroom 5 (twin)and separate family bathroom. Patio doors from lounge go to a decked veranda area, from where steps lead down to the garden. There is also an alternative garden access via a gentle grassed slope from the side of the house for those who cannot manage steps well.

Pets are welcome, please follow pet rules:

  • Max 3 dogs, £30 per dog
  • No pets on the furniture (unless you bring throws and towels for them) and no pets upstairs please
  • All pets are to be treated with a topical flea and tick repellent three (3) days prior to arrival
  • Please clean up after your pets
  • If pets are left alone, they should be in the kitchen
  • Please be mindful of the neighbours, pets shouldn’t make excessive noise

  • The Three Gables is the perfect blend of home from home with an added extra holiday touch. The house is spotlessly clean but still homely and is so spacious that we were never falling over each other. The bedrooms are well located so you can all have a degree of privacy when or if you want it and the house is very well well – equipped. Not just enough to manage but with everything you might want. Roma was in touch as soon as we made our booking offering to arrange ferry crossings, helping me source cycle hire and generally providing us with information to ensure we got the most out of our stay at Three Gables. The house is well located, with cycle routes in easy reach, pubs a short drive away and supplies / takeaway available at the nearby campsite. WiFi is nice and fast which, with teenagers in the family, is a big bonus. it was a super house for our annual 3 generation family holiday. I haven’t stayed in better.   • Gosh, just returned from the most wonderful stay at Three Gables.
    I’ve stayed in many a holiday accommodation and this one is easily the best of the best.
    It’s a home away from home. We could have stayed another week.
    It has every amenity you could need, washer, air dryer, roku, smart tv, hair dryers,a fully functional kitchen inc giant fridge freezer, bathrooms aplenty, enough sofas for everyone, room for kids to run around and the icing on the delicious IOW cake, a beautiful big closed in garden with stunning views.
    Oh and epic WIFI. I know that matters for many.
    Roma and Martin were perfect and friendly hosts.
    Book it now. Or maybe don’t because we would like to return next year.
