  • “You could tell this was going to be a special place on turning off the road, the lichen covered trees arching over the grassy driveway and the moss covered stones made it feel like you were entering a magic world! The accommodation did not disappoint, it was very clean fresh and decorated to high specification with good quality bedding, towels etc. The breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious with nice considered touches like gold top milk from the local cows as a special treat! Grace and Steve were very welcoming, friendly and helpful, OS maps were in the room and when they saw us returning soaked from a windswept walk we were offered drying space on their Aga and a cream tea. The garden was lovely to explore, the shepherds hut looked really nice too, almost on its own island between the streams and pond. Would definitely go back and highly recommend to others.”

  • “We couldn’t imagine how lovely our stay was going to be! Greeted by Grace and Steve on arrival. Very friendly and welcoming but not intrusive. Beautiful breakfast delivered outside our room. Lovely, personally decorated room with wet room. Heated floor! Very tastefully set out and plenty of room. The patio area with table and chairs was ideal for breakfast and an evening drink while admiring the stunningly wild, but organised, garden. We took a walk on our last morning through the garden onto the fields followed by walking up the lane back to the house. Very little traffic, and so peaceful. And of course we had Huxley, Murphy the black labs and Lilly the cat. Topped it all off!”
